Was steht im QR-Code?

How do I share a routine?

Two ways. As a link through any messenger — the routine sits inside the link itself, nothing is fetched. Or as a file ending in .circulus, and then your own clips travel with it. Very long routines no longer fit in a link, and the app says so before you share rather than after.

What happens to my clips when I pass a routine on?

They travel with it — and whoever gets the file can pass it on to anyone they like. A shared routine is therefore about as protected as a freely available video on the web: technically not at all, legally very much so. Your copyright in your own recordings stands, wherever the file ends up. If you would rather keep your recordings to yourself, share the routine as a link — it carries no clips.

Why is there no account?

Because there is no server. Your routines, your profile and your settings live on your device. There is nothing to sync, and therefore nothing to sign in to.

What does the QR code contain?

The start time and the routine itself: title, running order, colours, and the names of the stations and lanes. No clips, no personal data. No connection is made between the devices — each phone counts on its own from the same start time.

Can someone join without having the routine in their library?

Yes. The code brings the routine with it. Anyone without the app can open the same code in the Circulus Viewer in a browser and follow the same countdown.

If I delete a routine, are my clips gone?

The copies belonging to that routine, yes. Your own clips are untouched. Every routine keeps its own copies, so that a shared routine arrives complete and nothing is pulled out from under anyone.

If I delete a clip I recorded, is it missing from my routines?

No, because every routine keeps its own copies. When you delete a recording, it stays in your routines until you remove it there. Note that clips in routines you have already shared may still exist on the recipients' devices.

Can I put a loop inside a loop?

No. A loop may sit inside a station, but not inside another loop. Nesting is deliberately limited to one level.

Can I put stations inside stations?

No. Stations are the outer frame — parallel lanes, one of which each person picks. Nesting them is deliberately not provided for.

How many lanes can a station have?

Up to twelve. The limit comes from overview mode: twelve tiles still fit on a phone in a way you can make them out.

Do I have to add an introduction, a description or a YouTube video?

No, all of it is optional. A routine only needs its activities. The introduction earns its keep when you pass the routine on — whoever receives it does not know your exercises as well as you do.
